I wanted to bring it more to life.
As part of my Christmas tradition of building a toy for my kids each year, I decided to redevise the latchboard, a wooden panel with various latches, hooks, and other hardware. I wanted to bring it more to life, to break it out of its flat world and give it more functional meaning.
The result was something between a latchboard and a doll house, and it has provided a lot of inquisitive fun for my kids.
